Disney World

It's only 171 days until we leave for our next trip to Disney World! :) 

We're not sure who will be going with us this year. Well, we know that Danny and Ashley are coming! But not sure about anyone else.

We thought about going to Disneyland this time but the drive, the cost of hotels and the fact that the new fantasyland is opening at DW cemented our return. And since the second half of the new fantasyland is opening in 2013 then we'll probably go again that year. Heck, we'll probably just keep going every year until our kids are old enough to enjoy something besides a big, huge playground.

Can you imagine taking my monsters sight seeing at, say, Yellowstone National Park? The thought gives me nightmares.

Anyway, 271 days. 271 DAYS!! Can you feel my excitement?!? Since I'm... um, thorough in vacation planning, I've been checking for budget-friendly houses to rent and making sure we're good to go on the dates we've chosen. While googling crowd information (we're going just after New Years and I wanted to make sure it wasn't as busy as the week of New Years) I ran across some info on the new fantasyland.

They're building a restaurant in the Beast's castle! I mean, I knew they were building Beast's castle and that alone is enough to make me crazy-excited. But a restaurant? With three dining rooms? Including one in the library? AND it'll be counter-service during the day (which means it's cheaper)? I was nearly jumping with excitement! I told Michael all about it and I barely got a 'huh' out of him. I can't believe he isn't as excited as I am. Heh.

Buddy's had his autograph book out lately and keeps talking about Buzz and Woody. And the Green Army Man. He's ready to go visit them again.

But we're not telling the kids about our trip. I don't want another year of 'how many sleeps until Disney World?' and 'can we go to Disney World today?' from Nora and Buddy. When we start packing we'll probably just tell them that we're going to take a vacation with Danny and Ashley and them let them figure it out as we drive up to the Disney World gate! Otherwise our 16 hour drive will be filled with the sounds of 'WHEN WILL WE GET TO DISNEY WORLD????'. That makes for a loooooong trip in an already looooong trip!
