Mamakat's prompt: Spring fashion is in the air! Put together and share a Spring outfit you’d like someone with money to buy you.
I like a new dress as much as the next girl, but I don't do a whole lot of dress shopping. Or clothes shopping. I stay at home with my kiddos... there's not much in my world to dress up for! But I thought this might be a fun prompt to do, anyway. So I started searching and then realized, wait, I'm pregnant! I've got to look for maternity spring clothes! Which really limits my search. And I'm limited even more because I only really like to wear dresses when I'm pregnant. I can't stand having a band underneath or on top of my belly. They are uncomfortable, never fit right and, when I start getting really big, they tend to slip down and I end up tugging on them all day. Ugh.
So, a spring maternity dress. I wanted something long. Floral. And flowy. I have some long maxi maternity dresses, but they're just straight. I wanted some flow!
Here's what I found:
Gorgeous, huh? All 400 dollars of it. And the sad thing is I can't find a suitable cheaper alternative to this gorgeous dress. Ugh.
I don't wear jewelry because the kids tug on them. So all that's left are the shoes:
I don't know how much these shoes cost because they are discontinued. But they're cute, huh? I love the little kitten heel-- who wants to wear tall heels when they're pregnant? Actually, I never want to wear tall heels. Actually, I never want to wear shoes. But since social customs dictate that I wear shoes in public places, these would do nicely.

Very pretty! There's no way I could have worn strapless when I was pregnant though. My boobs were enormous. And now I can't really wear strapless because I can't find a srtapless bra to hold them up! Lol.
ReplyDeleteYeah, strapless is the only drawback! But I figured since I'd never actually have this dress in the first place, I can overlook that part!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress! TOO bad it is so expensive. Love the shoes too. I think preggies should get whatever clothes they want!! Wink, wink.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress! I wish I could wear strapless!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I really like the shoe. Low heels for me. If you really enjoy playing with fashion, have you visited Polyvore.com?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress! Love it.

I'm not much of a dress girl myself, but this maternity dress is awesome. It looks so comfy...I'm sure I'd wear it well after delivery just like I did my maternity pants..lol
